Reminder:  2009 Government Retiree Tax Credit

If you did not receive a $250.00  Economic Recovery Payment during 2009, you should file IRS Schedule M (1040A or 1040) 2009 to get your Government Retiree Tax Credit.  Schedule M is titled “Making Work Pay and Government Retiree Credits.”  This credit may give you a refund even if you do not owe tax.  You should contact an accountant or the IRS for specific information concerning your eligibility for and this tax credit and instructions for completing the IRS form Schedule M.
