Linda Braswell and I, with good intentions, went to visit Claire Zoldak at Sunset Nursing and Rehab Center on Tuesday, 1/26/10, however she was out for a doctor appointment.   Linda left a note that we had been there and also left reading material.  It appears she will still be at the Center for more rehab so we feel she will welcome visits or greeting cards, and I will follow up her progress.   We miss you, Claire.

Please call me, Lillian Karmel, at 941-475-1340 or email me at charlil@verizon.net with any news concerning ailing members.

If you would like to send a card or visit Claire, here is her new address:.

Don’t Miss our February General Meeting!

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Mr. Patrick Hanna will be our guest speaker in February.  Patrick is the Regional Director for the Seniors vs. Crime Project.  This is a special project  of the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Florida.  The primary goal of the Project is to reduce the victimization of senior citizens who are often targeted for specific crimes or scams based on their age.

This promises to be a very informative program that you do not want to miss!  Remember, you are always very welcome to invite friends and family that may be interested in our programs to join you as our guests.
