Convention Highlights

 

The Annual NARFE Florida Federation Convention was held at the Hilton Inn, Altamonte Springs, FL on May 4 thru 6, 2010.  The convention was called to order by President Wally Roepke. The keynote address was given by NARFE National President Margaret Baptiste who also conducted the swearing in ceremony for the newly elected officers.

Two Federation Bylaw Amendments were approved. The first was a change to the Federation name which was approved as amended. The second was to update the Bylaws to depict the full roster of appointed committee chairs – Approved.   The convention voted to remain at the Altamonte Springs

Memorial Day Celebration

 

On May 28th, several Chapter 717 members attended the flag retirement ceremony at Venice Memorial Gardens.  They also helped to place flags on the graves of fallen veterans interred at the cemetery.
